Minnesota Peace Projects efforts to influence foreign policy begins at the local level —  training our members in the dialogue communication style, developing relationships with local staff of our Congress members and continuous research on the pressing foreign policy issues of the day.

All elected officials are under tremendous pressure from powerful, wealthy forces, so we work at building long-term respectful relationships with the members and their staff in D.C. and the District offices. Results never come from a one-shot call or meeting. We persist with frequent contacts, providing information, discussing perspectives and continually building relationships.
